40 Hour Cellular Investigations Training

 Understanding it All

Cell phone investigations are an evolving phenomenon. Technology keeps getting better and investigations keep getting more complex. The most important thing to understand about law enforcement call detail record mapping, is that your training never ends. As a result of our own training and experience, we have created the most comprehensive courses and resources available to law enforcement. To start learning basic call detail record mapping principles, and obtain downloadable resources for trial, check out

When you attend any of our courses, you are receiving the most updated, cellular investigative techniques and information available. Due to the rapidly changing world of geoloacation investigations, our course content changes quickly as well. Detectives, fugitive operators and analysts love this training and often attend more than once! The 40 Hour course is recommended for investigators with prior experience investigating CDR’s, but not limited to them. If you are brand new to CDR investigations, you can still take this course; our instructors are always available after class to further your learning process if you need a little bit more help catching on. Are you ready to manage your own call detail record investigations?

Law Enforcement Call Detail Record Mapping Training by ZetX

Above all, it’s unlike any training you have ever received during your law enforcement career. You learn critical aspects and principles of cellular networks and provider technology. Moreover, we teach you best practices for obtaining and investigating data from every provider.
You will learn techniques that are court admissible and that’s what sets this training apart from any other cellular training out there. In other words, we don’t teach you the same, outdated information every other company teaches you, like the pie shape, also known as granulization. Moreover, we teach material that meets scientific thresholds like Daubert Standards. Why? Because we care about your call detail record investigation.

Equally important, we encourage you to keep learning and asking questions when the class is over. Always reach out to us with questions, we’re here to help.

What Students Bring to Class

Law enforcement call detail record mapping training with ZetX requires the following things:

Your laptop and charger, every day.  Tenacity.  Google Earth Pro installed, by the first day. A good attitude. The NEWEST version of Excel, by the first day. A desire to learn.

Does ZetX Have Other Training Courses?

Yes. When students complete the 40 Hour call detail record mapping training, they may decide this investigative niche is their passion. With some experience under their belt, they can up their game and attend our Subject Matter Expert Course. This class is a pre-requisite to attend the SME course.  We also offer custom courses for fugitive teams, crime analysts, and attorneys.

Willing to Host a Training?

The benefits of hosting a training are awesome. Make sure your venue can hold at least 40 people with tables, chairs, and electricity for everyone’s laptops. Your venue will need to hold a minimum of 40 students. Of course, the room will need WiFi that can support the capacity of students attending (sometimes we can help with that).

You may choose to host a class solely for your agency, or invite surrounding agencies to train at your facility, too.
